My ten weeks off from work flew by!!! Sunday was my first day back. It was ok.. Doug was home with Tre that day so I didn't have to get him up and ready for the day. I had fed him around 5 and put him back to bed, so I just had to get myself ready and leave. I never realized how long my shifts really are!! I do not want to give up breastfeeding so I have been pumping to save up for when I'm working and now I am pumping while I'm at work. It's a lot of work!! And I feel like it takes forever when I'm at work!! I do have amazing co-workers tho! Love them!!!
Doug only called me once throughout the day and it was just to let me know that everything was going fine! I was relieved to hear!!!! :)
Monday was different. I had to get up and get ready for work, then get Tre up and pack his bag and hope I didn't forget anything!! It went better than I thought but I was still pretty nervous. Then get him over to Doug's mom and leave him there. It was soooo cold that day too, I left him right in his pjs!! I put a sweatshirt and sweat pants on over them!! :) Julie said he was very good all day! After I picked him up I had to come home and get him ready for bed then take care of the dog (I hate going to get him in the dark!! Doug said there is a huge spiders web down there...) and then I could get ready for bed.
Tuesday was basically the same. It would definitely be a lot easier if Doug was home :( Looking forward to lay-off!!! ;)
Wednesday was a great day :) Tre and I stayed home all day and got the house back in order. And I loved the day with my boy ♥
I had a lunch to go to for work yesterday. It is 'DSP appreciation week' (direct support professional). There were quite a few people there that hadn't met Tre yet so he was quite the star!! :) When we got home, my mom and great aunt came to visit, then we went out for supper. It was good to see them!!!
Today has been lazy, for Tre I mean :P He took a 4 hour nap this morning!!! I got a lot of stuff done while he was sleeping. I made a pie a little while ago and it bubbled over in my oven :( and I found out my self-cleaning oven no longer self-cleans!? So I bought some oven cleaner and tried cleaning it. Most of it came off really good but it also started wearing my skin off... So I decided since it highly recommends rubber gloves, I would wait until I got some to finish!!!
Now, Tre and I are waiting for daddy to get home :) I pulled out the first outfit Doug and I bought for Tre (the day we found out he was a he) (size 6 month) and it almost didn't look like it would fit him!! I put it on him and it fits perfectly!!! I will post a picture :)
Hello, my name is Heather. I've been married to my wonderful husband Doug for almost a year now! We are expecting our first baby next month, we are so excited to meet our little boy!!
